September Volunteer of the Month

Susie Langford

Our Volunteer of the Month for the month of September is the ever dependable Susie Langford. Susie and husband Tom have one son and have lived in Chimney Lakes Subdivision in East Cobb for 29 years. Susie has a BA from Indiana University and was employed as Store Accountant for Pike Family Nurseries for 15 years. She is a Cobb County Master Gardener, has volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and is a member of the Chimney Lakes Women’s Club/Garden Club. Susie is very active at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Must Ministries and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. In addition to gardening, Susie’s hobbies include knitting, painting, and reading, jewelry making, sewing and (whew) cooking/baking. Susie is one of our very special garden volunteers working both with Plant A Row and the Thursday Work Group. She also assists is in finding great jewelry for the Gift Shop and is one of our trusted Tour Docents. We appreciate all that Susie does for the Gardens and are happy to honor her as our Volunteer of the Month.
