Members enjoyed the Low Country Boil prepared by SGG Head Chef Carrie Camden and staff
On Friday, July 20th, around 100 Smith-Gilbert Gardens members gathered on the lawn between the Hiram Butler house and the Perennial Garden to enjoy our first “Farm to Table” dinner. Vegetables from the SGG Gather ‘n’ Grow Garden were used in all the recipes (except the Brownies with Bourbon Sauce!). Executive Director Doug Davis suggests that our next member-only event be Brats, Brews and Blues in the Bonsai this fall! Photos of members enjoying the evening can be viewed on our Facebook page. (If you have not done so already, please like us on Facebook!)
Our contented members wrote us, “Add a cozy setting in the relaxing perennial garden and a summery crowd of happy people and you have a fun filled night.” and, “We so enjoyed meeting some other members, the food was delicious and garden setting was beautiful!”

Honored guests Casey and Ann Musselman (first and fourth from the left) received the “Golden Shovel” award in thanks for their support as both members and volunteers.
If you have not done so already, please become a member of Smith-Gilbert Gardens and join us for more member-only evenings in the future. Click here for more information on Membership, or call the Smith-Gilbert Gardens’ office at 770-919-0248.
