Riot of Color – Juried Art Show

“Life isn’t long enough for love and art.” - W. Somerset Maugham (1874 – 1965)

Smith-Gilbert Gardens Riot of Color is a competition/exhibition which is intended to encourage diverse artistic interpretations of the plant material, sculpture and historic home located at Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw, Georgia.  Its goals are to bring together serious artists that use visual art as a major interpretive medium of the landscape while also raising awareness of the need to protect our environment and encourage a future generation of caretakers of our planet.  The arts have played an important role throughout our history.  It is our hope that artists will be just as important in future efforts to preserve and protect our natural beauty and history.
